Action for Climate Change (ACC) successfully coordinated a large-scale community fruit tree planting initiative in Moshi Municipality that engaged schools, households, and women’s groups. The project mobilized community members to plant and care for over 5,000 fruit trees, supported by existing natural irrigation furrows.
This initiative not only improved environmental conservation and urban greening but also enhanced household nutrition and generated income through the sale of fruits. By combining community mobilization with practical, tangible results, ACC demonstrated its ability to drive sustainable horticultural practices at scale.
